What is ChargeClub?
ChargeClub is an independent directory that compares Canadian programs that reward EV owners for eligible home charging.
We do not operate the reward programs ourselves. Program details come from provider materials and, where indicated, information confirmed directly with the provider.
Why would a company pay me to charge my EV at home?
Some programs can generate value from eligible EV charging activity, including through environmental credit programs such as Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations. A provider may share part of that value with participating EV owners as cash, points, gift cards, charger incentives or other rewards.
How a program works varies by provider, so the reward rate alone does not tell the whole story.

How much can I earn from an EV charging reward program?
It depends on the program and how much eligible charging you do.
Programs may pay a fixed amount per kWh, use tiered rates, award points, offer bonuses or require a minimum balance before paying out. Some programs also have hardware costs, deposits or other conditions.
ChargeClub shows the advertised reward structure so you can compare programs side by side.
Eligibility and compatibility
Which reward programs are compatible with my charger?
Compatibility depends on the charger brand, model and the requirements of each program.
ChargeClub groups programs into those confirmed to accept your existing charger, those where compatibility still needs confirmation, and those that require different hardware.
Does every charger from a supported brand qualify?
Not necessarily.
ChargeClub tracks charger compatibility primarily at the brand level, but individual programs may require a particular model, generation, firmware version, configuration or enrollment method.
Always review the hardware requirements for the specific program before enrolling.
Can I use any OCPP-compatible charger?
No. OCPP support alone does not guarantee that a charger is accepted by a reward program.
Some providers approve only specific charger brands or models, require a particular OCPP version, or require the charger to be enrolled with their network. Other programs may ask you to confirm compatibility directly with the provider.
Do I need a smart charger to participate?
It depends on the program.
Many programs require a connected charger because they need reliable charging data. Others provide their own charger, accept specific compatible chargers, or may work without a smart charger.
Check the hardware section of each ChargeClub listing before enrolling.
Which reward programs are available in my province or territory?
Program availability varies across Canada.
ChargeClub tracks confirmed availability separately from programs that may be available but whose geographic availability has not yet been confirmed.
Why does ChargeClub sometimes say that availability is unconfirmed?
It means we do not currently have enough information to say with confidence that the program is offered in that province or territory.
An unconfirmed program may still be available to you. We separate it from confirmed options so we do not present uncertain geographic coverage as a fact.
Always check directly with the provider before enrolling.
Can I combine more than one EV charging reward or incentive program?
You generally should not enroll the same charging activity in more than one program that generates Clean Fuel Regulations credits. The same quantity of electricity cannot be used more than once to create CFR compliance credits under the applicable rules.
You may, however, be able to combine a CFR-based charging reward program with a separate provincial, utility or other EV incentive if that program's rules allow it.
Always check the terms of both programs before combining incentives.
Rewards and verification
How are rewards paid?
Payment methods vary by program.
Depending on the provider, rewards may be paid by direct deposit, Interac e-Transfer, cheque, gift card, points or another method. Some programs pay monthly or quarterly, while others pay annually or only after you reach a minimum balance.
ChargeClub lists the payout method and timing for each program when that information is available.
Are the advertised reward rates guaranteed?
No.
ChargeClub reports the rates and reward structures published or confirmed by providers, but rates, bonuses, eligibility rules and program availability can change.
Provider Verified does not mean ChargeClub guarantees that a particular participant will receive a specific amount.
What does "Provider Verified" mean?
Provider Verified means the organization operating the program has directly reviewed the ChargeClub listing and confirmed the information, supplying corrections or clarifications where needed.
It is not an endorsement and it is not an independent audit. We do not test the hardware, and we do not confirm that any particular participant was paid.
What does "Self-reported by provider" mean?
A self-reported listing is built from the provider's own published material, such as its program page, terms, FAQ or announcements, but the provider has not yet reviewed and confirmed the ChargeClub listing itself.
ChargeClub cites its sources on each listing so you can verify important details yourself.
How does ChargeClub keep program information up to date?
Each program has a re-verification interval, and its listing shows the date it was last verified. Provider Verified listings can also be updated through direct contact with the provider.
When a program goes well past its re-verification interval, its page shows a visible notice that the information may be outdated rather than presenting it as current.
Because programs can change between reviews, always confirm important details with the provider before enrolling.

Does ChargeClub operate any of the programs listed on the site?
No.
ChargeClub is independently operated and is not owned or controlled by any program provider. Enrollment, eligibility, rewards and payments are handled by the individual providers.

Does ChargeClub receive referral fees or other compensation from providers?
ChargeClub may hold commercial relationships, sponsorships, referral arrangements or other compensation with providers.
Any such arrangement is clearly disclosed and does not determine how programs are evaluated, verified or presented.
