Introducing the New ChargeClub EV Charging Rewards Calculator
ChargeClub's new calculator helps Canadians compare EV charging reward programs using their charging habits and each program's rules.
We're proud to introduce the new ChargeClub EV Charging Rewards Calculator, a tool designed to make it easier for Canadians to understand how much they could earn from the growing number of home EV charging reward programs available across the country.
Building this calculator took a significant amount of research, development, testing, and validation.
EV charging reward programs may look simple at first glance, but they can work very differently. Some pay a fixed amount per kilowatt-hour, while others use tiered rates, deposits, minimum usage requirements, bonuses, different payout methods, eligibility rules, or time-based conditions.
Our goal was not simply to create a basic multiplication calculator. We wanted to build something that reflects those differences as accurately as possible.
A more personalized way to compare programs
The calculator uses the information you provide about your charging habits and other relevant factors to estimate how participating programs could compare for you.
Instead of relying only on advertised headline rates, it considers the program rules that can affect what you may actually receive.
This can make it much easier to understand questions such as:
- Which programs could offer the highest estimated value for my charging usage?
- How do different payment structures compare?
- How long could it take to meet certain program requirements?
- Does a higher advertised rate necessarily mean a better result for me?
The objective is to help EV owners make a more informed comparison before enrolling.
Built on ChargeClub's program research
The calculator is closely tied to the program information already tracked by ChargeClub.ca.
We continuously research Canadian EV charging reward programs and, whenever possible, confirm program details directly with providers. That same attention to detail went into building the calculator.
A considerable amount of work was required to model the different program structures, test edge cases, verify calculations, and make sure the results remain understandable.
We also designed the calculator so that it can evolve as programs change and new ones become available.

As with the rest of ChargeClub.ca, transparency is important to us.
Calculator results are estimates based on the information available to ChargeClub and the details you provide. Actual rewards can vary depending on program eligibility, charging behaviour, provider rules, future program changes, and other factors.
