About this program
Chargy's Get Paid to Charge program pays eligible Canadian EV owners for home charging recorded through a compatible charger connected to Chargy's network software. The ongoing reward rate is 10¢/kWh, paid monthly.
Eligibility
Available to eligible residents of British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. The charger must remain connected to the internet and Chargy's network software so eligible charging can be measured.

Other OCPP chargers may also qualify. Chargy asks participants to confirm any model that is not on its compatibility list before enrolling.
Grizzl-E Smart may require a payment to unlock the charger for connection to third-party software.
Chargy currently lists Tesla Wall Connector, Tesla Mobile Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, FLO Home chargers and Pion Flex chargers as not eligible.
Reward structure details
Base reward rate
10¢/kWh
Monthly minimum
Participants must record at least 100 kWh of eligible charging in a month to receive that month's payment. If monthly charging is below 100 kWh, no payment is made for that month.
Wallbox purchase bonus
Participants who buy a qualifying Wallbox charger from Chargy and join the program can receive a $250 cash bonus after 12 months of participation. At least 1,200 kWh of annual charging is required, with a limit of one qualifying charger per physical address.
The offer is valid while supplies last and is separate from provincial EV charger rebates.
Payout
Eligible rewards are paid monthly by e-transfer or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Chargy provides a monthly energy-usage summary with the payment.
