About this program
Clearshot Labs, an Ontario company, offers a Kasier EVC45 Level 2 charger against a refundable $300 deposit, which earns 3¢/kWh. Shipping and installation are extra. The deposit is refunded once at least 1,500 verified kWh are charged within the first 12 months. The program is operated by Lintex Industrial Canada Ltd.
Eligibility
Canadian residents 18+, with legal authority to install the charger at the intended location and willingness to share charging data. Continuous, stable internet access is required at the install site so charging data can be transmitted and verified.
Hardware & vehicle requirements
The Kasier EVC45 comes in 32A, 40A and 48A configurations, as a NEMA 14-50 plug-in or hardwired; the 48A requires hardwiring. A UNR1 40A model is listed as coming soon. Installation must be arranged and paid for by the participant and completed by a licensed electrician.
Reward structure details
Earnings are calculated annually from verified charging data. Payment is issued once the unpaid balance reaches $100 and is made electronically; smaller balances carry forward to the following year.

- Clearshot Labs: Free Charger Program Customer Agreement (Lintex Industrial Canada Ltd. as operator, annual calculation, $100 payment threshold with carry-forward, electronic payment, deposit refund within 12 months, installation responsibility. Effective May 1, 2026, it defines two participation options. Section 4.1, Lintex owns the charger: "Title and ownership of the Charger shall remain with Lintex at all times", and if the 1,500 kWh target is missed "the Deposit shall continue to be held as the Equipment Performance Guarantee", with section 12.4 refunding it "within sixty (60) days of receiving the Charger back in good condition". Section 4.2, the customer owns the charger: "Title and ownership of the Charger passes to the Customer upon delivery", and a missed target "may result in automatic forfeiture of the Deposit", which section 12.4 confirms. Both pay "CAD $0.03 per kWh of Verified Charging Data". Warranty runs the length of the agreement under 4.1 and "one (1) year limited manufacturer's warranty from the Activation Date" under 4.2. "Shipping is charged at a flat rate of CAD $50 per package for Canada". "This Agreement shall remain in effect until December 31, 2035, unless earlier terminated". The Activation Date is when the charger "is successfully configured and registered in Lintex's backend system", or the 31st day after delivery if installation is not completed within thirty days), retrieved July 30, 2026
