ActiveEcoCharge provides and owns a Level 2 charger for a $199 refundable deposit, pays 10¢/kWh from day 1, and refunds the deposit once the charger records 1,500 kWh.

About this program
EcoCharge Rewards provides eligible residential and commercial customers across all 10 Canadian provinces with a connected Level 2 charger through a $199 refundable-deposit program. Participants earn 10¢/kWh from day 1. The 1,500 kWh milestone applies only to the refund of the deposit. EcoCharge retains ownership of the charger.
Eligibility
Available to residential and commercial customers in all 10 Canadian provinces under the same EcoCharge program. For residential participation, EcoCharge supplies the charger and the customer must have the legal ability to install it at the property.
Hardware & vehicle requirements
Provided charger
EcoCharge supplies a connected Level 2 charger with a J1772 connector. A NACS adapter can be included on request when a J1772 charger is supplied.
Installation and connectivity
Electrical installation is not included. The customer arranges installation with a licensed electrician at their own cost.
The charger must remain connected so eligible charging can be recorded by the EcoCharge network.
Delivery
EcoCharge provides white-glove delivery in British Columbia and free shipping in the other nine provinces.
Deposit and charger ownership
A $199 refundable deposit is required. EcoCharge retains ownership of the charger.
The deposit is refunded after the charger records 1,500 kWh of eligible charging. There are no monthly program fees.
Reward structure details
Reward rate
10¢/kWh from day 1
The 1,500 kWh milestone applies only to the refundable deposit. It does not delay the start of the 10¢/kWh reward.
Payout
Rewards are paid quarterly by digital gift card once the reward balance reaches $100.
