About this program

EcoWatt is run by Solution Novyra as program manager, in collaboration with TechnoVE. Charging data from a connected TechnoVE charger is transmitted, analyzed and used to generate environmental value, and participants may receive financial compensation based on their energy use. Joining mandates Solution Novyra to manage and analyze the charging data, take part in the environmental valuation process, and represent the participant's interests in the program. Compensation depends on the credits actually being validated and sold, and EcoWatt states financial results are not guaranteed.

Eligibility

Owners of a compatible TechnoVE charger who can supply the purchase invoice, charger model and serial number. Membership takes effect on signature and continues indefinitely until cancelled in writing; cancelling can forfeit compensation already in progress, and if the charger changes hands the new owner must submit a fresh application. Joining requires an irrevocable assignment of the related carbon-credit rights to TechnoVE. Eligible provinces and territories, any fees, the minimum payout and duplicate carbon-credit registration rules are not publicly specified.

Hardware & vehicle requirements

A compatible TechnoVE charger you already own: B32, B40, I32, I40, I48, TB40, TB48, TS40, TS48, TC48 and TR48. Chargers made in 2026 can be enrolled directly; those made between 2020 and 2025 may need a Wi-Fi upgrade first. Chargers made before 2020, chargers with a screen, and RFID chargers without Wi-Fi are not eligible. The charger must stay continuously connected to the internet and transmit data without interruption; any interruption can affect program results.

Reward structure details

EcoWatt advertises a current rate of $0.12/kWh but states plainly that it is indicative and variable: it is reviewed once a year, in July, and can go up or down with market conditions. Compensation is normally paid once a year, between July and August, by cheque, and is conditional on the related credits being validated and sold; EcoWatt states financial results are not guaranteed. Its first payment is scheduled for summer 2027.
