About this program

Grizzl-E Club pays cash back per kWh on a tier ladder that rises with lifetime charging and never drops back down. How you join sets where you start. Converting a compatible Grizzl-E you already own costs nothing and starts you at Level 3 (5¢/kWh). An Essentials Club charger comes on a $100 refundable deposit and starts at Level 1 (3¢/kWh). Buying an eligible Premium unit outright also starts at Level 3 (5¢/kWh). Membership itself is free, and warranty and support last as long as it stays active.

Eligibility

EV owners in Canada; no membership fee. Only charging sessions delivering at least 1 kWh earn rewards, and sessions whose data isn't transmitted to United Chargers aren't credited or counted toward tier progress.

Hardware & vehicle requirements

Three paths. Convert a compatible Wi-Fi–enabled Grizzl-E you already own (Ultimate, Mini or Classic Connect) with no deposit, by entering its serial number and installing Club firmware; ownership stays yours and reverts automatically if you cancel. Or take an Essentials charger (Classic Connect, Mini Connect, Ultimate 48A) on a $100 refundable security deposit plus shipping, refunded in full after your first completed connected charging session; these may ship new or refurbished depending on inventory, and the unit remains United Chargers' property. Or buy an eligible Premium charger (Ultimate 80A, Duo Connect 40A) at retail. Premium is not offered on a deposit. All chargers must be professionally installed and connected to Wi-Fi through the Grizzl-E Connect app. Returns carry a $50 restocking fee and cancellations a $50 fee. Note that some older text still on Grizzl-E's own site quotes higher per-model deposits refunded after several thousand kWh; the current FAQ and offer pages state the $100 Essentials deposit and first-session refund shown here.

Reward structure details

Two tier ladders, both by cumulative lifetime kWh and non-retroactive: a level never drops back down, and crossing a threshold mid-session applies the higher rate only to your next session. Essentials (deposit path) starts at Level 1: 3¢/kWh, then +1¢ per 5,000 kWh: 4¢ at 5,000, 5¢ at 10,000, 6¢ at 15,000, 7¢ at 20,000, 8¢ at 25,000, 9¢ at 30,000, reaching 10¢/kWh at 35,000 kWh. Converted and Premium-purchase chargers start at Level 3: 5¢/kWh, then 6¢ at 5,000, 7¢ at 10,000, 8¢ at 15,000, 9¢ at 20,000, reaching 10¢/kWh at 25,000 kWh. Separately, and on top of those tiers, eligible members who purchased their Grizzl-E charger earn an additional 5¢/kWh in Thanksgiving Bonus Points on charging from October 1, 2026, raising their potential total to as much as 15¢/kWh. This is a bonus rather than a permanent rate increase, and it does not apply to members participating through the free charger offer. Thanksgiving Bonus Points accumulate on their own, apart from regular cash back, and are transferred to your cash account on October 1, 2027. Grizzl-E has indicated that it expects the Thanksgiving Bonus concept to continue beyond this first year and plans to announce the following year's bonus about a month before October 2027. Minimum withdrawal is $10, limited to once per month, paid by EFT; enrolling in auto-deposit by email through your financial institution is mandatory to receive cash rewards. Referrals pay $0.01/kWh on charging by members you refer; the person referred receives no reward. Over 8,000 members as of mid-2026.
