About this program
Iceberg EV is a Newfoundland and Labrador charging rewards program that pays participants 12¢ per eligible kWh charged through a compatible connected charger. Charging data is sent to Iceberg's network and used to generate credits under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations. Rewards are paid quarterly by Interac e-transfer. Customers with a compatible existing charger can participate without purchasing new hardware. Iceberg currently provides setup instructions for compatible Autel MaxiCharger Elite and Wallbox Pulsar / Pulsar Plus chargers.
Eligibility
Newfoundland and Labrador residents and businesses, at properties they own or otherwise have the right to install equipment on. Individual participants must be the age of majority. The charger must be a compatible model, installed by a licensed electrician, and connected to the internet so charging data can reach Iceberg's network.
Hardware & vehicle requirements
An internet-connected compatible charger, installed by a licensed electrician. Iceberg publishes setup guides for the Autel MaxiCharger Elite and Wallbox Pulsar / Pulsar Plus. Some Autel MaxiCharger Lite units are also compatible depending on firmware. Iceberg asks MaxiCharger Lite owners to provide the charger's serial number so compatibility can be confirmed before enrolling. There is no deposit and no hardware cost if you already own a supported charger. Iceberg also sells Autel MaxiCharger Elite chargers to customers who need one. Compatible chargers must support OCPP 1.6J and allow connection to Iceberg's backend. Chargers locked to their manufacturer's cloud may not be compatible. Contact Iceberg directly to confirm compatibility with other charger models.
Reward structure details
A flat 12¢ per eligible kWh recorded through the connected charger, paid quarterly by Interac e-transfer. Payments are issued within 25 days after the end of each quarter. The minimum payout is $50. Balances below $50 carry forward and are paid once the running total reaches $50. Participation is governed by Iceberg's Charging Network Hosting Agreement.
