About this program

metroEV Rewards pays eligible homeowners, renters, condo participants and businesses across Canada 10¢/kWh for charging recorded through an eligible Level 2 charger connected to the metroEV platform.

Eligibility

Available across Canada to eligible homeowners and renters, condo unit owners and condo corporations, and businesses. Residential participants must own an EV or PHEV and have the legal right to install and operate the charger.

Hardware & vehicle requirements

An eligible OCPP-compatible Level 2 charger is required. It must be registered in the metroEV app and stay connected by Wi-Fi or cellular. Participants can buy a compatible charger from metroEV or enroll an eligible third-party charger.

Reward and payout

The reward is a flat 10¢/kWh. Rewards are paid annually by direct deposit once the balance reaches C$100. metroEV aims to process annual payouts by June 30 of the following year.

Balances below C$100 carry forward, but if the balance remains below C$100 for two consecutive calendar years, it is forfeited.

Important terms

Participation has a 12-month minimum term, subject to the exceptions in metroEV's agreement.

By participating, applicable federal, provincial or utility rebates and incentives related to the charger or its installation are assigned to metroEV.
