About this program
SWTCH Home Charging Program rewards Canadian residential EV charging through two options. Participants can receive a SWTCH Level 2 charger with a $300 refundable deposit or purchase a participating charger outright. Both options earn cash rewards based on home charging recorded through the SWTCH Home Charging Program app.
Eligibility
Residents of Canada who own or have the legal right to install a participating charger at their residential property. A SWTCH account and internet connection are required to register the charger and participate in the program. There are no subscription or annual program fees.

The charger must be registered in the SWTCH Home Charging Program app and connected to Wi-Fi with internet access.
Installation is the participant's responsibility. Hardwired installation requires a licensed electrician; the plug-in model can use an existing suitable 240V outlet.

For the Free Charger Program, the $300 deposit is refunded in full after the charger reaches 1,500 cumulative kWh. There is no time limit to reach the threshold. Ownership of the charger transfers to the participant on delivery. The Free Charger Program currently has a $30 shipping fee.
CAA Atlantic bonus
Eligible CAA Atlantic members earn an additional 1¢/kWh on top of their regular SWTCH reward rate after adding their CAA membership number in the SWTCH Home Charging Program app.
Payout
Once the earnings balance reaches $100, SWTCH processes a direct-deposit payout through the SWTCH Home Charging Program app. Payouts are processed within 15 business days.
