About this program
Telemiq Rewards pays eligible Canadian Tesla owners and lessees for verified home charging. Telemiq currently advertises a flat reward of 5 points per kWh, with every 100 points worth C$1.00, equivalent to 5¢/kWh. Home charging sessions are verified through an enrolled Tesla Wall Connector or through Tesla Fleet Telemetry using a paired virtual key and registered home location. Rewards are funded through carbon credits generated under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations. Verified points become redeemable after Telemiq's annual Q1 carbon-credit audit and are paid by Interac e-Transfer.
Eligibility
Telemiq's current Terms require participants to be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their province, be a Canadian resident, be the registered owner or lessee of a Tesla vehicle with an active Tesla account, and have a Canadian bank account capable of receiving Interac e-Transfers. Telemiq currently supports one Tesla vehicle per account. Eligible reward sessions must be verified as occurring at the participant's registered home location.
Hardware & vehicle requirements
A Tesla vehicle is currently required under Telemiq's Terms and signup process. An enrolled Tesla Wall Connector can verify eligible home charging directly. Tesla Mobile Connector users and other supported home AC charging setups can qualify through Tesla Fleet Telemetry by pairing Telemiq's virtual key and setting the registered home location. Telemiq's FAQ specifically states that Mobile Connector sessions qualify and also refers to third-party J1772 charging through vehicle telemetry. If a non-Tesla charger participates in another carbon-credit program, the same charging data cannot be claimed by both programs.
Reward structure details
Telemiq currently advertises a flat 5 points for each verified kWh of eligible home charging. Every 100 points equals C$1.00, making the advertised reward equivalent to 5¢/kWh. Points are typically credited within 24-48 hours but remain pending verification until the annual carbon-credit audit is completed in Q1 of the following year. The minimum withdrawal is 10,000 points, equivalent to C$100, and payments are made by Interac e-Transfer. Telemiq says there are no membership or withdrawal fees, points do not expire, and there is no published maximum earning limit. Telemiq's Terms also state that rewards depend on the successful generation and sale of carbon credits and are not guaranteed.
