About this program
WattsApp lets eligible Tesla owners in Canada earn points for charging at home with a compatible Tesla Wall Connector, under the federal Clean Fuel Regulations. Every eligible member automatically earns 3 points per kWh. Selecting the +3 points/kWh Triple Play reward brings that to 6 points per kWh and is available to all eligible members. Winning the monthly 12 points per kWh prize draw can raise your rate up to 18 points per kWh. Points are redeemed for cash by Interac e-Transfer.
Eligibility
Canadian residents with an eligible Tesla Wall Connector linked to their Tesla account. The vehicle should also be connected so WattsApp can record the information that may be required for Clean Fuel Regulations compliance.
Hardware & vehicle requirements
Compatible hardware is limited to the Tesla Gen 3 Wall Connector and the Tesla Universal Wall Connector, and the charger must be linked to the member's Tesla account. Multiple Wall Connectors can be linked under one Tesla account.
The program is vehicle-agnostic, so a Tesla vehicle is not required.
Reward structure details
Every eligible member automatically earns 3 points/kWh. Members who select the guaranteed Triple Play reward of +3 points/kWh earn 6 points/kWh. A monthly prize draw can increase the reward to as much as 18 points/kWh for the applicable month. Members choose three of six Triple Play rewards: the guaranteed +3 points/kWh bonus, a monthly +12 points/kWh draw, a quarterly draw that doubles a member's points balance, an annual Tesla Model Y RWD draw, a monthly Tesla Wall Connector draw, and a Winter Supercharging Rebate worth up to $25 a month from January through March, to a maximum of $75. A Summer Supercharging Rebate applies automatically to every member on the same terms from June through August, so with the winter option selected the two together can provide up to $150 a year. Points do not expire, and points earned from charging sessions in one calendar year become redeemable during the first quarter of the following year. Referral Points are redeemable anytime, subject to the minimum redemption requirement. Charging Points and Referral Points are redeemed by Interac e-Transfer and require Interac Auto Deposit to be enabled. Supercharging reimbursements are processed monthly regardless of the amount when requested by the member. WattsApp confirms that these reimbursements are already being issued to participating members. Redemption requires at least 10,000 points (C$100 on WattsApp's published conversion of 100 points to C$1).
